Tejal Patel
PharmD
Dr. Patel’s research interests are in pharmacotherapeutic management of neurological conditions, in particular dementia, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease.
Her current research interests include the assessment, classification, and management of drug-related problems in persons presenting with cognitive impairment as well as the frail elderly in primary care settings with a particular focus on medication management capacity and adherence to medications.

Jessica Ivo

Jessica Ivo is currently completing a Master of Health Informatics at the University of Waterloo. She has over 4 years of experience in research with a focus on medication adherence in older adults.

Sarah Abu Fadaleh
January 2021 - Present
Sarah M. Abu Fadaleh is a pharmacist with 9 years of experience in Jordan. She worked in different pharmaceutical sectors including retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical research, and non-profit organizations. She received her Master’s degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alberta. Her Master’s was in “Medication Appropriateness in Community-Dwelling Older Adults. She is currently the Research Coordinator with Dr. Tejal Patel Lab at the University of Waterloo, School of Pharmacy. Sarah’s passion is traveling and she has visited 12 countries so far and planning on continuing her adventures in the future. In her downtime, she enjoys reading novels and listening to classic music.

Sadaf Faisal

Sadaf Faisal is a licensed pharmacist in Ontario with over 10 years of experience in community, long-term and primary care settings. Sadaf received her Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and completed a hospital pharmacy residency. She is also a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist through Board of Pharmacy Specialties, USA. She currently practices as a clinical pharmacist at Thames Valley Family Health Team. She is pursuing her Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Tejal Patel at the University of Waterloo, School of Pharmacy. Her Ph.D. research is focused on medication use problems in various patient populations, including older adults and people with chronic disease, with a particular emphasis on medication management and adherence issues using various innovative technologies.

Abi is a fourth-year student at the University of Waterloo in the Health Studies co-op program with a minor in Psychology. She is interested in pediatrics and is passionate about global health equity. She aspires to pursue medicine to reach her goal of becoming a physician with specializations in these areas.
